Counseling definition, specialties, therapy/approach
The American Counseling Association describes counseling as professional relationship that empowers diverse individuals, couples, and families to accomplish mental health, wellness, education, and career goals.
Counseling is a collaborative effort where professional counselors help clients identify goals and potential solutions to problems that cause emotional turmoil; improve communication and coping skills; strengthen self-esteem; and promote behavior change and optimal mental health.
Private pay, insurance, cancellation
Sessions are approximately 55 minutes, and the $150 fee is due at the time of service.
You can use insurance benefits from many providers to pay for therapy services.
I will connect you with the billing department at Next Adventure Counseling and Consulting to clarify your insurance coverage when you book your appointment with me.
Insurance companies require a diagnosis, so we will determine this so you can use your benefits to pay for services.
Our time is valuable, so we should commit to keeping our appointments. If you cancel or miss your appointment with less than a 24-hour notice, you will be charged the $90 cancellation fee, and if I cancel with less than a 24-hour notice, I will credit you $90 toward your next appointment.
